Aegwah FAQ

Frequently asked questions about data, billing, and support.

Data & Coverage

Why is your EPS different from Yahoo Finance / Google Finance?

We show GAAP EPS from SEC filings (latest filed value for a period; eps_restatement when a later filing supersedes). Yahoo/Google often show adjusted (non-GAAP) earnings.

EDGAR-sourced rows include edgar_filing_url so you can verify on sec.gov. A small fallback set (data_source: yfinance, listed on the Quality Report) has no accession.

How do I verify a number?

EDGAR-sourced rows include:

  • edgar_accession — The SEC accession number
  • edgar_filing_url — Direct link to the filing index on sec.gov
  • form_type — Usually "10-Q" or "10-K" (when present)

Open edgar_filing_url to see the 10-Q/10-K. The EPS value is typically on page 1–4 in the "Condensed Consolidated Statements of Income" section.

I think a number is wrong. What should I do?

First: Check edgar_filing_url (if present). Open the EDGAR filing and verify the EPS value on page 1–4.

If it still looks wrong: Email [email protected] with:

  • Ticker + Quarter (e.g., "NVDA Q3 2024")
  • Screenshot showing the issue
  • What you expected vs what you got

I'll verify against the EDGAR filing when one exists and fix on a best-effort basis (typically within 1–2 business days).

Can you add [feature] / [additional data field]?

Basic already includes GAAP EPS, point-in-time balance sheets (/v1/balance), Form 4, and Exhibit 99.1 guidance where issuers disclose it. We stay focused on filing-linked, auditable fundamentals — not a full FMP-style statements catalog. If you need something else, email us; refunds remain available within the 7-day window.

Do you provide consensus estimates / analyst forecasts?

No. This dataset is EDGAR-sourced actuals only, not forward-looking estimates.

Why do some companies have fewer quarters than others?

We only include data when we can verify it against an EDGAR filing. Some companies:

  • File irregularly or changed ticker symbols
  • Were not public for the full historical period
  • Have data quality issues we couldn't resolve

Check the quality report for per-ticker earnings scores and separate coverage tabs for Form 4, guidance, and balance.

Billing & Access

How do I download the data?

After subscribing on Gumroad:

  1. Follow the instructions in the "Content" tab
  2. Claim your download token using your Gumroad email
  3. Same token works for ZIP download and API access

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel via Gumroad. Access continues through the end of the current paid period, then download and API access stop.

Is there a refund policy?

Yes, 7-day money-back guarantee if the data doesn't fit your use case. Contact support via Gumroad or email [email protected].

Can I share the data with my team?

No. License is for single-user use. Email [email protected] for team pricing if you need multiple seats.

Support

What kind of support do you provide?

I can help with:

  • Download/access issues
  • Billing questions
  • Coverage questions (which tickers/dates)
  • Data accuracy verification (point me to the ticker/quarter)

I cannot help with:

  • Finance theory or trading strategies
  • Custom data analysis or extracts
  • "Why did [company] report this way?"

How fast do you respond to support emails?

Best-effort: typically within 1–2 business days. Billing/access issues are prioritized when I am online — this is not an enterprise SLA.

Who built this?

Solo developer who built this for personal use (trading bot) and decided to share it. Earnings series are scored 0–100; other modules publish coverage. EDGAR-sourced where possible — not an enterprise product with SLA guarantees.

Full disclosure: I'm not a finance expert, just a developer who needed clean, verifiable earnings data. I can verify data accuracy against EDGAR filings, but I can't explain complex accounting theory.
